This was a fantastic week. We had PRs, some firsts, and lots of fun.
We started our week with Memorial Day "Murph"! Everyone was so courageous and endured this very brutal, very respected, workout! Congrats!!
Congrats to Adam Aleto for his 270lb clean! Also congrats to everyone for all the fantastic work on the clean progressions.
Brandon Thoma has been working on the Russian Squat Program and this was his week to find his new 1RM - Let's congratulate him for a big PR, who is now squatting 230lbs (mind you he only weighs approx. 145lbs)
We've had some new people start this week. If you see a new face, remember to say hi and welcome them to Endless.
We wanted to share a little something that happened this week. A couple of our new members (Brad & Amy Cooper) gave such a wonderful compliment to our Endless Family. They shared with us of how nervous they were and not sure about trying our program. After meeting our members that were so welcoming, friendly, and helpful - they just knew they were going to enjoy being a part of it. That's a big compliment to all of you, the members of Endless, that makes your box a wonderful place to be. Thank you everybody! This is what makes our journey together worthwhile.
06/02 - 06/07/2014
Way to go to those who got their muscle ups this week. Congrats to Rick Kilian, who not only got his muscle up, but a strict ring muscle up. Great work!!!
Dylan Helbrueck and Randy James also got their bar and ring muscle ups. They have been coming in extra hours and working on their gymnastic skills. They are coming along on their L-sit to handstands - we will keep ya'll posted.
Hey, hey, hey - Double Unders all around! We've been having some fantastic progress on the double under club. Ashlie Pendergrass did her first wod with double unders - High Five!! Good job to everyone - they are probably one of the most frustrating skills to learn.
This to our member Stephanie Barbagallo, who I always make go with the guys when we bench cause she benches like a dude. LOL! She may be small, but she's mighty! Strong work woman! Kudos!!
What do we do on vacation? Well, handstands or course!
Great job Emily Skiles!!
Larkyn Hendrickson getting in on the action!
We have been working on cartwheels and handstands for a week now and have seen some wonderful progress. Many of you who thought it would never be possible are now doing them either on the wall our freestanding.
Randy James tried his skills in a one-handed handstand. Chris Robinson, Tim Jackson, and Jake Baisch are now on the wall. We know many of you thought it comical to work on cartwheels; however, if there is anything I remember as a gymnastic coach, the cartwheel covers so many aspects in our motor recruitment skills. A cartwheel covers core strength, agility, balance, coordination, strength, and much more that can be transferred into other aspects of CrossFit.
We have Jake Pendergrass who can cartwheel as well as a chick (as he has stated LOL), many others are doing these gymnastic skills like champs and have come a long way in such a short time.
The morning crew are crushing deadlifts!!
We finished off the week with "12 Days of Spring" = Great Job!!!!!
A big shout out to Vanessa Newman who had some major PRs in this one WOD! Great Job!!!!
We finish with a great big thank you to the Pendergrass cuties for keeping us civilized with their beautiful artwork for our box!
All in all a couple of great weeks! Stay tuned for next week.
