Our intro classes will consist of 2 parts: Foundations of Functional Movements and Prepare to Crossfit.
***NOTE: We recommend the FFM and/or PTC programs before attending our regularly scheduled WOD (Workout of the Day).
Foundations of Functional Movements
** This program is for the 1st time CrossFitter and/or athlete unfamiliar with CrossFit movements and is required before advancing to our PTC program or regular WODs.
During this program, you will be taught the 9 Foundational Movements of Crossfit. All movements will be scaled by using PVC pipe and body weight exercises in order to get the proper technique. Proper mechanics of the movement is more important than strength or speed, so they can all be scaled based on your physical ability and needs.
These movements are broken down into 3 sections: Squat Series, Push Series, and Deadlift Series.
(air squats, front squats, overhead squats)
(shoulder press, push press, push jerk)
(deadlift, sumo deadlift high pull, power cleans/med ball cleans)
Weekday FFM classes start @ 5:30 p.m. and Saturday classes start at 10:00 a.m.
The Squat Series - Mondays and Thursdays
The Press Series - Tuesdays and Fridays
The Deadlift Series - Wednesdays and Saturdays
Prepare to Crossfit
** This program follows the completion of our Foundations program and is recommended before attending our regularly scheduled WODs.
During this program, you will be introduced to some of CrossFit's other movements as well as the basic structure of the WODs. These workouts will be scaled down to give you a little taste of what to expect before you progress to the regularly scheduled WODs.
Weekday PTC classes start @ 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays classes start @ 10:00 a.m.
These WODs are broken down into 3 types: Task Oriented, Tabata, and Time Oriented.
Task Oriented - Mondays and Thursdays
Tabata - Tuesdays and Fridays
Time Oriented - Wednesdays and Saturdays
If for any reason you cannot attend one of these classes, please let us know so we can make other arrangements.
