Want a stronger core?

A strong core is essential for day-to-day activities and for an athlete to be successfully balanced.  It is needed for functional movement from walking, sitting down, and standing up.  It's used in every movement we do.  When strong, it will help prevent injuries and help an athlete through movement.  The core is an important piece of how we live.

Most people think this is all the core consists of.  They look nice; however, you can have 6pack abs and not have a very strong core.  Your core consists of the anterior (front) and posterior (back) - neck to hips.  From a functional fitness standpoint, a balanced core will be key and will help you with day to day activities along with preventing injuries.

If your core strength isn't balanced, it most likely will end up looking like the picture below (an anterior tilt or a posterior tilt which tilts the other way) and should be fixed before putting large loads on it.  Yes, contrary to belief, this shape can be fixed 90% of the time, and is not the way you are built (unless there is an underlying medical reason).

 

Lot of muscles are included in the core.

We will concentrate on these muscles throughout the course of the classes.

If you are wanting a stronger core, less back pain, more balance, better gymnastic skills, better weightlifting, and, yes, possibly 6pack abs (that's up to you), you will definitely want to give this class a try.
